The Supply of a Helicopter to The Outer Hebrides
The Challenge.
We were asked by a client to advise them of how to deliver a helicopter from England to the Island of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides. Once the helicopter was delivered, our client requested that the vehicle and drivers wait on-site for the duration of the trials. The helicopter was then to be brought back to the Scottish mainland and delivered back to the client.
The Solution.
Plan effective routes from England to Northern Scotland and the onward ferry for delivery to the Scottish Island of Benbecula. Source and supply a Mega trailer to enable covered transport as required by customer. Arrange HIAB for the loading and unloading of the helicopter. We supplied two drivers for non-stop express service.
The Result.
The helicopter arrived safely and on-time for the trials, our drivers assisted our customers staff for three days on-site with the trials / exhibition. We then brought the helicopter back to the mainland of Scotland and delivered it safely back to the customer in England.
The supply of 2x containers to Naples, Italy
The Challenge.
A client approached us with the task of transporting 2 x out of gauge 20’ containers (Field Operating Hospitals) to a Military Facility in Naples, Italy.
The Solution.
We visited the client’s premises to inspect the containers and offered our expertise in how the containers should be safely delivered to Naples. We decided that for this to happen we needed to adapt our standard 45’ trailer to included extra twist locks to fit the containers.
The Skytrux team worked closely with the Manufacturer in the UK to provide a seamless door to door service.
The route from the client in the UK to the delivery point in Naples had to be planned to include all stops were within military secure parking areas.
We supplied two drivers to enable a speedier delivery. We also arranged for HIAB lifting equipment to be on-site in Naples for offloading the containers.
The Result.
The Skytrux team worked closely with the Manufacturer in the UK to provide a seamless door to door service. Each container was delivered safely, and on-time as requested.

Lynx Helicopter Moves - Portugal
The Challenge.
We were asked by our client to deliver five helicopters from Portugal to the UK for refurbishment and then to return to Portugal once completed. Each helicopter was 3.3 metres wide.
The Solution.
We applied for wide load permits and planned the route to include secure military parking for the entire route. We arranged all customs clearance. The supply of escort vehicles and standard curtain side vehicles for the support equipment. The planning process required attention to detail and many hours liaising with the UK & European Authorities.
The Result.
Each helicopter was collected and returned to Portugal in a safe, secure and speedy manner.

UK-Norway / Norway-UK Service
The Challenge.
We were requested by our client in the UK to configure a regular service from the UK to several destinations within Norway. This also involves organising return loads from Norway back to the UK. The client would not know the size vehicle required for each trip until the day before we were due to load. This meant that we would need to make arrangements for any vehicle, from a van up to an articulated vehicle at the last moment.
The Solution.
We arrange weekly North Sea ferry block bookings. We liaise with customs agents for export and import clearances. All vehicles supplied are adapted for Nordic operations including snow tyres.
The Result.
We have a very successful Nordic Export and Import door to door service.
